How do casinos attract high roller players?

High rollers or "whales of casino " are called players who are willing to make big bets.  They can not be found at tables or automatic machines with a low limit.  Over time, these guys can lose thousands and hundreds of thousands of dollars.  Why so much waste?

Everyone has their own reasons, but in addition to wanting to win, high rollers also receive royalty from the casino, including excellent privileges and generous rewards.

These incredible advantages make them make big deals. After all, who does not want to be treated like a king?

Privileges and bonuses reserved for high rollers

What can be offered to such players? It all depends on the casino. Each institution has its own awards (analogues include online casino clubs).

For example the players of Foxwoods Resort. They can enjoy a variety of entertainment and free services.  This resort (the city of Mashantucket in Connecticut) is famous for its luxurious lounges, bowling with 6 VIP lanes and full catering.

It is believed that in major casinos the common privileges are free numbers, food, and a full 5-star service.

The most generous incentives offered to high rollers include chef services, gourmet dishes, first-row seats at major shows, limousines, luxury apartments and aircraft rentals.

Convenient credit line

Another common practice when casinos attract the most senior players, offering them credit.

According to Dennis Gomes (the founder of Gomes Gaming), who has 40 years of experience in the gambling industry: "If you have gambling tables, prepare to give out a loan, or no one with a thick wallet will want to come to your institution."  He added: "Authoritative people do not like to go with large sums."

When as many players do not risk their finances, the fact that high rollers are able to give away huge money indicates that almost all casinos with table games offer credit.  The idea is that the richer the person, the higher his limit.

The number of casino loans offered is different. A big role is played by how desperately its owner wants to support high rollers.

A high percentage of the loan implies an increase in debt

If the casino does not want to lose its most loyal and wealthy customers, then offers them more loans.

During the crisis, the amount lent to high rollers was high, as the casinos did not want to lose profitable deals.  This led to their huge debt to the owners.

The institutions gave away millions of dollars in the form of grants to cover debts.  As early as 2012, Sands Casino, located in Vegas, allocated $ 492 million to mop up dubious debts.  Meanwhile, to cover them, Caesar's Entertainment Corp.  gave more than 200 million dollars, and Wynn and MGM Resorts provided a discount of $ 100 million.  As a result, they wrote off their debts.

What fate awaits the debtor-debtors?

There are many legends about rich clients who are casino regulars and lose millions.

As an example, the story of the Japanese developer Akio Kashiwagi under the nickname "Baccarat warrior" can serve.  In 1990, while in the building of Trump Plaza, he played baccarat for six days!  As a result, the loss of this gambler amounted to 10 million dollars.  After two years, Kashiwagi was found killed in his own house near Mount Fuji, and his $ 9 million estate was to cover the costs of several casinos.

Otherwise, when it comes to debts, establishments simply write them off.  However, in most cases, players tend to return money.  In fact, almost all casinos have debtors, so granting a loan is not only an advantage for the players.

Big spendthrifts make hysterics

Many happy when they win, but not everyone recognizes themselves as a loser.

Another interesting fact about high rollers is that after losing, they become very nasty.

In his article, Eli Segal of Las Vegas Sun writes about the experience of losing high rollers by an anonymous casino host in Vegas.  He saw how the losers threw cigars or cards at dealers, smoked them in the face and roughly stuffed the money.  Highrollers also threw chairs, pushed other players, tried to scatter tables and fought with guards.

Highrollers under the investigation of a casino

Important players do not notice how they do their homework.  Only the fact that the client takes a big loan does not mean that he is a real high roller.  Some do so only to look like an authoritative person, so they get privileges, but do not waste money.

Casino pay close attention to high rollers, because they want to make sure that bonuses are received by those players who are actually spending time (and money) on gambling.

And it's important to add that while playing in an online casino, you can not exactly meet the high rollers.  But, there are a lot of other nice additions (for example slot machines with bonus games, free slots game, video slot machines and much more) that can not offer land-based casinos.
